Food from the Heart is an independent non-profit organization in Singapore focused on distributing food to the needy. The organization’s goal is to alleviate hunger through efficient distribution of food.
They provide numerous options for individuals and organizations to help through different programs, events, and campaigns. With their sustainable operations model, structured governance, and strong support, Food from the Heart is recognized as one of the most well-run food charities in Singapore.
Recently, employees of the Connected Freight Singapore had the opportunity to join Food from the Heart’s sort-and-pack activity at their warehouse. Volunteers sorted and packed food items into over 100 food bags for distribution to sponsored schools, welfare homes, and self-collection centers for their Community Food Pack, and School Goodie Bag Program.
“It was fruitful activity! but most importantly we had a good bonding session,” Zihao said.
The team also brought food items for this volunteering session to ensure that Food from the Heart has enough to pack and aid to champion its cause.
The Connected Freight team will be back to volunteer again to help Food from the Heart sort-and-pack food bags.
